“Orion y la Oscuridad” Discussion Event

The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), through its Centro de Investigaciones sobre América del Norte (CISAN) and its Área de Estudios Sociales y Culturales, invites you to an exciting discussion on the film “Orión y la Oscuridad” as part of the Estudios sobre la Noche / Night Studies / Études sur la Nuit research seminar.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Institut de Géoarchitecture (UBO), France; the Institut des Amériques (Brest, France); and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montreal (McGill University), Canada.

About the Film:

The discussion will revolve around the film “Orión y la Oscuridad” (directed by Sean Charmatz, written by Charlie Kaufman, 2024), based on the book Orion and the Dark by Emma Yarlett (2014). The event will explore the themes of fear, darkness, and the transformative power of nighttime narratives.
