Sensing in the Dark: Queer Nightlife, Infrastructure, and Sensory Worlds

Reflections on the 5th Session of the Permanent Seminar on Sexual Diversity and Interculturality (UNAM)

On November 26, 2025, the Permanent Seminar on Sexual Diversity and Interculturality at UNAM will host its fifth session with a thought-provoking lecture titled “Sensing in the Dark: Infrastructure, Sensory Experience, and Queer Nocturnality.” Delivered by Dr. David Tenorio, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Pittsburgh, the session promises to open new perspectives on how queer communities inhabit, imagine, and transform urban nights.

This event will be streamed live at 12:00 PM (Mexico City time) through the official YouTube channel of the PUIC, allowing a broad audience across Mexico and beyond to participate virtually. A certificate of attendance will be provided to all registered participants.
