
Giuseppe Tomasella is currently a PhD student in Geographical Studies at the University of Padova, Italy. His research project proposes an analysis of reciprocal relations co-producing the nightscapes of Venice’s historic centre by focusing on the interdependencies between practices and places of the night-time economy, lived spaces of the urban night, and nocturnal narratives.
He holds one master’s degree in European, American, and Postcolonial Language and Literature and another one in Intercultural Development of Tourism Systems, both from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
His major research interests include cultural geographies, night studies, tourism studies, literary urban studies, mobility, urban planning and governance, creative geographic methods, and geohumanities.
