Julio César Becerra Pozos

Julio César Becerra Pozos holds a Bachelor in Social Anthropology from the Universidad Veracruzana, Master in Social Studies, and Ph.D. in Social Studies specializing in Labor Studies (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa), both recognized internationally by the PNCP Conacyt. He has completed research stays at the Institute of Higher Social Studies (IDAES) of the National University of San Martín (UNSAM) and the São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Research Methods for Humanities and Social Sciences (ESPCA) at the State University of Campinas, Brazil.


Member of the National System of Researchers (SNII).
As Deputy Director of Integration and Update, he coordinated the Editorial Seal and the Training Laboratory in Youth Perspective at the Research and Studies on Youth Directorate of the Mexican Youth Institute. In this role, he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the academic publication JOVENes. Magazine of Youth Studies ISSN 2007-0403.


He has postdoctoral training from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (Colef), is an Associate Researcher in the Labor Studies and Relations Program at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, Argentina (FLACSO-Ar), and is currently a research professor at the Labor Center of the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ).


Active member of the Research and History Seminar on Youth (SIHJ) at the Mora Institute, as well as the Mexican Association of Labor Studies (AMET); the Study Group on Non-Classic Work (POPULUS/NEEPD/CNPq), and the Education-Work Transitions working group (Flacso-Ar).
His research focuses on youth, inequalities, and night-time activities.
